Missouri State Faculty/Staff

Faculty/Staff of Missouri State can receive various discounts to tickets at certain sporting and theatre events. In order to receive a discount, the Missouri State faculty/staff member may visit any location of Missouri State Tix or call the Missouri State Tix box office at 417-836-7678 to receive the discounts. Limits on discounted tickets may apply and the discount cannot be combined with any other discount. Missouri State Students

Missouri State students may receive various discounted tickets to certain sporting and theatre events. Discounts can range from certain dollars off a ticket price to half price tickets to rush tickets and in some cases free tickets. In order to receive the discount, the Missouri State student must come in person to any location of Missouri State Tix and present a valid Missouri State Zip Card. Students must be currently enrolled in classes during the semester in which they received the tickets. Limits on the number of discounted tickets apply and the discount cannot be combined with any other discount. MSU students may be eligible to receive a free ticket for certain basketball games at JQH Arena. The following policy details the pickup, distribution, and special regulations surrounding the tickets.

Missouri State Student Ticket Policy for Men's and Women's Basketball Games in JQH Arena:

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will reserve lower level and reserved bleacher seating in JQH Arena for all Bears and Lady Bears games. Furthermore, JQH Arena Box Office will follow the below mentioned rules regarding the distribution of such tickets.

1. Student Ticket Pick-Up Missouri State students will be eligible to pick up single game lower level reserved seat tickets and reserved bleacher seat tickets (south end) for Bears and Lady Bears games at the JQH Arena Box Office (or at any other location of Missouri State Tix, if it is open on that game day-call Missouri State Tix for locations and hours) as follows:
   1. Beginning at 10am each game day when the event time is after 4pm, or beginning at 8:30am each game day when the event time is before 4pm, a limited number of lower level reserved seats for the game will be available for Missouri State student pickup by presenting a valid Missouri State identification card. One is eligible to receive one ticket per Missouri State identification card; however, it is permissible for a Missouri State student to present one other Missouri State identification card in order to receive two (2) tickets. Each Missouri State student will also be required to present their identification card at the student gate at the east entrance of JQH Arena to be admitted into the game.
   2. MSU student eligibility requirements: The Missouri State student must be currently enrolled in classes for the semester in which the student is attending the game. ii. The SMS student must come in person to get the ticket or give the valid ID to another Missouri State student. iii. SMS student athletes may not present their SMS identification card in order to receive a free ticket for a game in which they are participating.
   3. Pick-up Times: The lower level tickets for all Bears and Lady Bears games will be available for pick-up on a first come first serve basis, beginning at 10am or 8:30am (depending on the event time) on the day of the game only. If any student tickets are still available 30 minutes prior to the start of a game, the athletic department staff will decide to either sell the tickets to the general public or leave them until game time to be picked up by Missouri State students.
   4. The bleacher reserved tickets for all Bears and Lady Bears games will be distributed from 10am or 8:30am (depending on the event time) until tip off with the athletic department reserving the right to sell such tickets earlier in the day if it appears the tickets will go unused.

Due to the fact that many students are out of town on University holidays, Missouri State reserves the right to sell a portion of the student tickets to the general public on game day of University holidays ONLY.

Missouri State students with valid tickets will need to enter the JQH Arena on the southeast side of the building (the main entrance) and will need to once again present their zip card for verification.

Note that the Missouri State students do not receive free tickets to any special events or tournaments held at JQH Arena (i.e. the Women's MVC tournaments, Blue & Gold Tournament, concerts etc), away games in which Missouri State is playing at another site or to games that feature a team other than Missouri State.

Note that the box office management reserves the right to amend these policies at any time.
